Founded by Michela Melone in 2025, Almamoto builds each work with local dancers in the cities where it is created, bringing contemporary dance, Afro-Brazilian tradition and street styles into the same room.

EGO
World premiere 2027 · Now booking the 2027 season
EGO is a new work by Michela Melone for Almamoto Dance Company, created between Aracaju, Brazil and L’Aquila, Italy, as a live performance and a dance film. The self, undivided by contradiction. An ensemble work built on partnering, floorwork and lifts, performed by the Almamoto company dancers.
